About the Author
The author was born in Cleveland, Ohio and presently resides in the Tidewater region Virginia. He wrote the book when he realized he could touch many lives through his story telling. McCall was diagnosed with TS around age 10 however had the pre-stage signs dating back to when he was 3 years old. He has first hand experience on what kids encounter before and after the diagnosis. He works as support group co-leader in Virginia and started the first support group in the Ft Walton Beach, Florida area. He works directly with adults and children with TS. The author sits on the Board of Directors for the Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA) of Greater Washington chapter and also volunteers at the National level. He received training for the National Speaker's Bureau in 2007 for speaking to communities and groups on TS. He is a firm believer in education advocacy. He has spoken at schools of children with TS and made a big difference at how the students and teachers view the child. A story about his testimony has been published in the Virginia Beach Beacon Newspaper, National TSA "Family Portrait", MIX magazine, and honoured as Hampton Roads Top 40 Under 40 young business leaders in Hampton Roads. McCall is a licensed Minister and works with youth all over the world as the Co-Director of an International College Preparation Program. He currently is a graduate student at the College of William and Mary pursuing a Masters in Education.

Is just okay. Both my 13 yr old son with tourettes and my 11 yrs old daughter read this book. Found his humor tough to figure out when reading (both my son and daughter). Had high hopes for this book and was disappointed, but not a bad book.
What an inspiring and informative story! This book cast a lot of much needed enlightenment on Tourette Syndrome. It was written in a captivating, humorous, and explanatory manner that would appeal to both children and adults. I applaud the author, Stephen McCall, for his courage in telling his story, and I highly recommend this book.
This book is a must read for those who have Tourette Syndrome(TS) and those who don't. If you do have TS this book will encourage, uplift, and inspire you, by using someone else's experiences. It shows you that you are not the only one who has dealt with the affects of TS. You get an indept look on how Mike (the main character in the book) deals with his on going tics which are very humorous indeed! It had me laughing throughout the whole book! But it was also very imformative. I do not have TS but I know someone who does, and reading the book helped me to understand what the disease was really about. On TV you see so many different ways that TS is portrayed but never the correct way. In the book the author gives a clear and concise definition of TS and some of the behavior associated with it. I now have a comprehensible understanding about TS and how it not only affects the person but their family and friends as well. You have got to get this book today if you want to learn more about TS and laugh at the same time!
This book is excellent! I recently found out that someone I know has Tourette Syndrome, but I knew absolutely nothing about this disorder. The Tyrannosaurus Tic explains what Tourette Syndrome is, the symptoms and how someone with this disorder may be feeling. Before I started reading, I felt intimidated because of my lack of knowledge, but I was pleasantly surprised with Tyrannosaurus Tic's humor. I was put at ease and was able to appreciate this book as an educational tool and as a good read! I now have an understanding of this disorder and also how I can help people with Tourette Syndrome.
This was an easy to read, funny, and insightful book. After reading, I had a better understanding of TS's effects and struggles of kids that have this disorder. The book made me laugh, but also feel a deep compassion for the main character's struggles. I would recommend this book not only to those suffering with TS, but any other child or family with a similar disorder. Great read!
This book is hilarious!!!I was literally laughing out loud while I was reading it.Then; half way through the book; I realized the author was using humor to teach the reader about TS.I was not only entertained but I was enlightened as well.I can't wait for the next book (Diagnosis) to come out!
my mom and i both read this book and i learned much more than i expected. it was a quick, easy read, that was packed with information. i felt sad for the main character, but enjoyed his humorous and optimistic outlook about having TS. this story gives a great way to learn about TS from a child's outlook.=)
